About Crimson Sage's Building

ROCKY MOUNTAIN BELL TELEPHONE OFFICE

This two-story structure was created by Richard Kletting, who in the turn from the century was considered Utah's foremost architect. Proclaiming towards the company's confidence in Park City's future, Rocky Mountain Bell Telephone bought the land in This summer, 1898, merely a month following the devastating fire which destroyed the majority of the Primary Street commercial district. Your building, completed later that year, was utilized being an office for everyone the business's local clientele so when Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company bought Rocky Mountain Bell in 1911, your building was maintained for the similar purpose. In 1964 your building was offered. Ever since then it's located a genuine estate office, clothing store and, presently, a cafe or restaurant. The 2nd floor has generally been employed for living quarters. The dwelling performed a substantial role in developing communication within the burgeoning mining town. It's had only minor modifications because it was built, and it is usual for the Victorian commercial structures built in the time.
